PROVIDING SUSTAINABLE SUPPORT

FOR CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT

The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent, incorporated in November 2007 by a group of dedicated volunteers, was established to raise community awareness and funds for the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent, formerly the Prism Centre for Audiology and Children’s Rehabilitation. The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent is a registered charity (Charitable Registration # 82482 8354 RR0001).

Our Mission

It is the mission of the Foundation to enhance the financial sustainability of the Centre, thereby ensuring that children and youth from across the region with physical, developmental or communication needs continue to receive the therapy services they require to achieve their full potential.

We accomplish this mandate by inspiring our community to act through education, outreach and professional fund development and management.

Our activity falls into two broad categories of support. We are focused on annual fundraising, working with individuals, corporations, foundations, service clubs and other organizations, to support continued quality program delivery. However, our Foundation directors are also thinking long-term.

As a result, we are in the process of building a multi-million dollar endowment in order to ensure that the programs and services offered to our children will be available far into the future.

Our Core Values and Operating Principles

We have adopted these six core values and base our goals and action plans on them

  • Respect
  • Commitment
  • Passion
  • Integrity
  • Stewardship
  • Accountability

From an operating perspective, the Foundation works to make your charitable giving easy, flexible and effective. There are numerous ways that you can support this agency and its important contribution to our community’s children.

We are pleased to work with you and your advisors to design a charitable giving strategy that complements your financial and estate planning while accomplishing your personal needs and philanthropic goals.

We pledge to work with you to maximize public exposure for your sponsorship or donation, or work with you in complete confidence to protect your anonymity if you so wish. It’s really up to you. Regardless, the ethical, careful and accountable management of any funds entrusted to us is of highest priority to the trustees and staff of the Foundation.  To that end, we have been accepted into Imagine Canada’s Ethical Code Program.
